haha after one month i've decided to blog about my italy trip after all! it was pretty screwed up in the beginning. we missed our flight from oslo to milan owing to the fact that the oslo budget airport was almost 2 hours away and we didn't know (and didn't think of checking) beforehand. oh well it was an expensive lesson learnt and we had to forego our visit to milan and cinque terre, which is this really scenic coastal village.
so we thought things would improve as we managed to book another ticket straight to pisa AND to be sure we also booked our express train tickets to the airport, planning to stay the night at the airport so we won't miss the early morning flight this time.
but the suay-ness did not leave us as we managed to screw up yet again by missing the last train that left from oslo central to the airport. and we had to roam the streets of oslo central in the middle of the night since we had also missed the last t-bane back to our hostel.
it was a really unpleasant experience as it was freaking cold being out at night, and we were not allowed to stay overnight in the train station cos it was closed! had to sit and shiver outside until dawn. bleaurgh. bad start to the hols. but all in all it was quite an enjoyable trip. italy is a really beautiful place (a bit too touristy though) and i never felt happier taking all the photos and eating all the gelato! i shall let the photos do the talking:
